Juliane co-founded studio PAMPA following over 25 years of experience as a senior project architect and associate architect in renowned international architecture offices. Her passion is firmly rooted in interior design where she strives to create an innovative and intriguing atmosphere and distinct identity for each project she designs. Her work is characterised by a bold use of material and colour and the effect their interplay can have on a space.

Juliane studied architecture at the Hochschule Darmstadt, followed by a postgraduate master’s degree at the SAC Städelschule Architecture Class of the Städelschule Staatliche University of Fine Arts in Frankfurt. Following her degree, she joined UNStudio as a senior architect associate from 2006 to 2013, and Franken Architect as a senior project architect until 2016, when she co-founded Studio ABERJA.

Together with Luis Etchegorry, she co-founded studio PAMPA in 2023.
Luis Etchegorry

Born and raised in Argentina, Luis Etchegorry studied architecture at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, followed by a postgraduate master’s degree in architecture at the SAC Städelschule Staatliche University of Fine Arts in Frankfurt. He joined renowned UNStudio in Amsterdam as senior architect associate from 2008 to 2013, where he realised numerous award-winning projects with prestigious international status. From 2013 to 2017, Luis was a founding partner of the architecture and planning firm NE-AR GmbH, followed by freelance positions.

His design work has been exhibited at various institutions and exhibitions, including the 1st International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam and Portikus Gallery in Frankfurt.

Luis has held positions as assistant professor at the Städelschule Architecture Class as well as a guest professorship for Digital Design Techniques at the ASL Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Planning at the University of Kassel.

In 2023, Luis co-founded Studio Pampa with Juliane Maier. With a strong analytical outlook, Luis approaches each endeavour without a fixed style, striving to deliver impactful and uplifting architecture that enhances cities and built environments. Embracing the complexities of the real world, Luis’ guiding principle is to prioritise the human experience over rigid architectural typologies, starting each project with a clean slate.
